What is Extended Care?
We're the largest skilled nursing facility in the Carolinas, where residents receive the best care for their comfort, health and recovery.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers can use their skills in ways that will enrich our residents' lives.
Pet Therapy
Volunteer to help with the variety of animals that visit our residents, including cats, dogs, pigs and even donkeys.
Gift Shop
Our gift shop is staffed by volunteers. All sales go toward programs that improve our residents' quality of life.
Adopt-a-Grandparent
Be a friend to one of our residents by visiting regularly or sending a card on birthdays and special occasions.
Junior Volunteers
Young adults between 12 and 17 can learn about health care by helping staff members, visitors and residents with everyday tasks. Residents enjoy having younger people around, and volunteers learn from residents and their experiences.
Other Things to Know
You must complete a two-step skin test for tuberculosis prior to volunteering.
If you are under 18, you must have written permission from your parent or guardian to volunteer.
